The term "high-risk pregnancy" describes a case where a pregnant woman has one or more factors that could put her or the fetus at risk for health problems. A thorough and special antenatal care schedule can help in modifying some of these risk factors and early recognition of their effects and timely management is essential healthy mother and healthy baby. It includes following risk factors:

• Age : Less than 18 years; over 35 years
• Height : Below 145 cm
• Weight : Below 40 kg
• Parity : Grandmulti (4 or more previous children)
• Recurrent pregnancy losses
• During pregnancy: Diabetes, hypertension, anemia ( Hb< 11 gm%), heart disease, twin pregnancy, jaundice, HIV/Hep B infection, Thrombophilia, abnormal presentation ( breech, transverse lie)
